<div dir="ltr">Dear SPEDAS users,<div><br><div>For those of you running SPEDAS on MacOS, there's an issue running the SPEDAS GUI that affects MacOS Tahoe users.   The GUI panel may show as all-black on the initial startup of spd_gui, or after resizing the GUI window. </div></div><div><br></div><div>One workaround is to minimize, then restore, the affected window.</div><div><br></div><div>The issue seems to be an incompatibility between MacOS Tahoe and the XQuartz library.   This means that a fix will likely have to come from the MacOS or XQuartz developers, rather than the SPEDAS or IDL developers.</div><div><br></div><div>Previous releases of MacOS (Sequoia and earlier) are not affected, so if you're running an older MacOS version, you may want to hold off on upgrading to Tahoe for a while.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div><br></div><div>-- Jim</div></div>
