Dear SPEDAS users,

We are pleased to announce that the SPEDAS 2.00 Virtual Machine
executables for Windows, Linux, and MacOS are now available for
download and use.

These releases give access to all the features available through the
SPEDAS Graphical User Interface, with no additional downloads or
IDL licenses required. (Access to SPEDAS command-line-only features
is only available via the source code releases, which require a paid
IDL license).

To download the executable releases, please visit this address:

http://spedas.org/wiki/index.php?title=Downloads_and_Installation

then scroll down to the heading "If you don't have an IDL license"
and find the download link corresponding to your operating system.

Mac users should refer to the "Troubleshooting and special considerations"
section on the "Download and Installation" page, for a few additional steps
that might be required to get SPEDAS working on your system.

Please let us know if you have any questions or problems installing
or using SPEDAS.

We are grateful to NASA Headquarters for their support of the
SPEDAS development effort.

Cheers,

-- Jim Lewis (on behalf of the SPEDAS development team)
